$wgDefaultUserOptions['usenewrc'] = 0; (equivalent of unchecking "Group changes by page in recent changes and watchlist" in Special:Preferences, under Recent changes)

$wgDefaultUserOptions['rcenhancedfilters-disable'] = 1; (equivalent of checking "Use non-JavaScript interface" in Special:Preferences, under Recent changes)

$wgDefaultUserOptions['thumbsize'] = 3;

$wgDefaultUserOptions['wlenhancedfilters-disable'] = 1;
